Who says TV is bad for you???

I was inspired to create my latest piece after watching the show Ghost Hunters. I'll admit it I'm addicted to the show I even watched the Ghost Hunters Academy. Watching reruns I started thinking about how long people have been trying to communicate with the dead and my Spiritualist’s Cabinet was born. :)

Lady Death in her Garden

I finished the Lady Death shrine! I'm working on a plaque and another small cabinet. The new cabinet/shrine seems to be headed in the direction of Pagan/Wiccan symbols. Sometimes these items just have a mind of their own and I have to let it unfold as it will. ;) I have two ideas for the plaque, I'll have to try them both and see which one works. Hopefully (weather permitting) I'll be able to finish both this week.

Death Becomes Her

I was able to work outside for a bit today (at least until my hands got to numb to continue) But I came up with a new idea and finished painting the shrine structure for it. If it stays sunny I'll be able to finish it tomorrow.  It's going to be a small shrine of Lady Death.  Of course Death is a very proper Victorian Lady.  I'm having fun coming up with the details.  Can't wait to finish it.

My first post on my first blog!  I've had time to make this page since the weather is keeping me indoors away from my workspace.  Instead of getting my craft on I've been writing.  I'm working on some new poems for a zine I hope to finish soon.  I'm aiming for a Valentine's theme of Love, Lust and Monsters.
